Around Christmas, it often transforms into a festive market.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n To keep the kids happy, a Trdeln\u00edk pastry<\/strong> oder hot chocolate<\/strong> usually does the trick. Before leaving, we also stop by the striking Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord<\/strong>, inspired by Noah\u2019s Ark.<\/p>\n Just a short walk away, the \u017di\u017ekov TV Tower<\/strong> is impossible to miss. The boys love spotting the giant crawling babies (artwork by David \u010cern\u00fd).<\/p>\n Beneath the tower, next to Miminoo restaurant<\/strong>, you\u2019ll find a family-friendly ice-skating rink<\/strong>. You can rent skates, sip hot drinks, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. It\u2019s one of the best ways to feel the Christmas spirit with kids in Prague.<\/p>\n After skating, it\u2019s time to warm up. Two great options:<\/p>\n La Bottega Gastronomica<\/strong> \u2013 A slightly upscale Italian restaurant just by the rink. Perfect for a sit-down family meal (don\u2019t forget to bring coloring sheets or nativity printouts to keep kids busy).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Anton\u00ednovo Peka\u0159stv\u00ed<\/strong> \u2013 A beloved local bakery on Laubova Street where you can watch bread being made, grab sandwiches, and warm up inside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n A 10-minute walk brings us to Kav\u00e1rna Maluj (Korunn\u00ed 37)<\/strong> \u2013 a creative caf\u00e9 where kids can paint ceramics. My boys love decorating mugs for their grandparents, and it\u2019s a perfect hands-on activity. Parents can join in, too \u2013 I always end up painting something myself.<\/p>\n As the sun sets around 4 PM in December, we head to Church of Our Lady Victorious<\/strong> (Karmelitsk\u00e1 9, Mal\u00e1 Strana). Here, the famous Infant Jesus of Prague<\/strong> awaits. His robes change regularly, especially in December. Next to the church, there\u2019s a small museum displaying his historic outfits.<\/p>\n From Mal\u00e1 Strana, we stroll across the Charles-Br\u00fccke<\/strong>, enjoying views of the river lit up with Christmas lights. Along the way:<\/p>\n Trdeln\u00edk for the kids<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Hot mulled wine (sva\u0159\u00e1k) for us<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Peeking into churches to see if their nativity scenes are on display<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n At the Weihnachtsmarkt am Altst\u00e4dter Ring<\/strong>, the giant Christmas tree is the star, with a magical light and sound show every half hour.<\/p>\n We finish the day at Minkowna<\/strong>, located directly on Old Town Square.
