The centre is full, the queues are real, and afternoon temperatures regularly reach the high twenties with little shade on the cobbles. But the city adapts: beer gardens run all evening, the islands fill with picnics, and open-air cinema and concerts take over the courtyards. Shoot at sunrise (around 05:00) or in the last hour before sunset at 21:00.
