You can visit the new Jewish museum in T\u0159eb\u00ed\u010d. The house is in direct connection with the synagogue building. There is an exhibition of Jewish housing, a unique Jewish shop, a historic entrance to the women’s gallery of the synagogue and modern lecture halls.<\/p>\n
The aim of the museum is to acquaint the wider public with the way of life of the defunct Jewish community , especially with its daily habits.<\/p>\n
New since December 2014, the museum offers a look into the exposition dedicated to kosher butchery . Visitors will find kosher knives, meat grinders and other butchery tools used in the ritual slaughter of animals. A modern kitchen with two separate lines<\/p>\n
was installed on the ground floor of the house , which enables the preparation of kosher dishes. It will be possible to use this on the occasion of certain Jewish holidays, when the city plans to invite experts to prepare Jewish dishes , which visitors will then be able to taste. On the ground floor of the house there is a demonstration bakeryfrom the 1930s.<\/p>\n
On the interactive monitor, tourists can learn a lot of other interesting information about the history of the Jewish Quarter in T\u0159eb\u00ed\u010d , as well as the history of this building. On the first floor, you can see a sample of period housing , so visitors can get an idea of \u200b\u200bhow life was at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.<\/p>\n
The floor space of the house was adapted to a projection room, which will be especially appreciated by teachers at schools, because here they have the opportunity to present Jewish culture, history and the basics of Judaism to their pupils and students. In connection with this, cooperation with the Jewish community in Brno and other Jewish institutions is planned.<\/p>\n
