Es wurde im 2. oder 3. Jahrzehnt des 16. Jahrhunderts erbaut, unmittelbar nach dem Bau der Mauern, an die es angeschlossen war. Au\u00dferdem ist sie nach der Alten Synagoge in Prag die zweit\u00e4lteste Synagoge in der Tschechischen Republik.<\/p>\n<p>Die Synagoge wurde zu verschiedenen Zeiten baulich umgebaut, etwa in den 70er Jahren des 18. Jahrhunderts, zuletzt in den Jahren 1948\u201350 als Betraum. Eing\u00e4nge von der Ostseite wurden aufgehoben und an die Nord- und S\u00fcdmauer verlegt.
