Das Haus wurde 1597 erbaut, obwohl hier vielleicht schon im Mittelalter eine Kneipe stand, die Karl IV. selbst mehrmals besucht haben soll, wenn er herkam, um sich den Bau der Steinbr\u00fccke anzuschauen. Der Bauherr des Hauses war Jan Fux, der die gesamte Fassade des Hauses im Jahr 1606 vom Maler Daniel Alexius von Kv\u011btn\u00e1 mit einer bombastischen Werbung f\u00fcr sein Gesch\u00e4ft mit Symbolen der angebotenen Dienstleistungen bemalen lie\u00df. Jan Fux war ein \u201eFederdesigner\u201c oder auch \u201eFedr\u0161mukr\u201c, da er Damenh\u00fcte oder Pferdegeschirre mit einzigartigen Vogelfedern verzierte und daraus F\u00e4cher und anderen Schmuck herstellte, den er als Modedesigner auch selbst entwarf. Im Jahr 1648 wurde das Haus w\u00e4hrend der schwedischen Belagerung von Prag besch\u00e4digt. Bei der anschlie\u00dfenden Reparatur f\u00fcgte der Prager Baumeister Cyril Geer das barocke Dachgeschoss hinzu. Aus dieser Zeit stammt auch die bemalte Balkendecke. Im Jahr 1714 er\u00f6ffnete der armenische Gesch\u00e4ftsmann Deodatus Damajan hier ein Kaffeehaus, m\u00f6glicherweise das erste auf der Kleinseite.<\/p>\n<p>Der letzte private Eigent\u00fcmer vor der Verstaatlichung war Josef Dundr, der das Haus 1922 kaufte, das dort eingerichtete Restaurant betrieb und das Haus sachgem\u00e4\u00df renovierte. Der Staatsbesitz hat dem Objekt jedoch nicht viel gebracht, da es in einen Zustand geriet, in dem es vom Abriss bedroht war. Die Gesamtrenovierung in den 1970er Jahren erfolgte buchst\u00e4blich in letzter Minute und es wurde mit zwei kleineren Nachbarobjekten verbunden, die Lagerr\u00e4ume in den Kellern wurden erweitert und es wurde in ein Luxushotel und Restaurant umgewandelt. Die urspr\u00fcnglichen Balkendecken aus dem 17. Jahrhundert mit Renaissance-Ornamenten in einigen R\u00e4umen wurden an Stahlkonstruktionen aufgeh\u00e4ngt und der Innenraum mit Pseudo-Renaissance-M\u00f6beln ausgestattet.<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt eine Legende \u00fcber das \u00f6rtliche Hauswappen, die besagt, dass die verschwenderische Frau des ersten Besitzers des Hauses, Jan Fux, st\u00e4ndig Geschenke aller Art verlangte und sich auch einen lebendigen Strau\u00df w\u00fcnschte. Ihr Mann kam ihrem Wunsch nach und er kam auch nach, als sie um den zweiten Strau\u00df bat. Als sie jedoch noch einen weiteren wollte, wurde er w\u00fctend und sagte, er w\u00fcrde lieber einen Strau\u00df aus ihr machen. Am n\u00e4chsten Tag war die Dame des Hauses nirgends zu finden und auf dem Hauswappen erschien ein weiterer Strau\u00df \u2013 ein weiblicher Strau\u00df.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
