For the nineteenth year in a row, the Prague Zoo is opening its gates to the visiting public. In the nine decades of its existence, it has undergone tremendous development: from small concrete pens and fences, we have moved to thematic and spacious habitat exhibits without visible barriers. Get acquainted with everything that the Prague Zoo has prepared for you and take part in the celebrations! Despite the covid, all major investment projects continued in Zoo Prague, especially the construction of a new gorilla pavilion. At the end of 2021, it was almost completed in construction, and after opening on September 28, 2022, it will take visitors on an area of ​​7,700 m 2 (of which 1,700 indoor m 2 and 6,000 m 2outdoor spaces) along an imaginary journey through Cameroon, from the local countryside through the secondary and primary rainforests to the forest clearings by sgorilami. Zoo expert Anthony Sheridan, who had the opportunity to visit the pavilion, said it would be a new standard of quality in the presentation of gorillas. In addition to many smaller events, the reconstruction of the so-called Plans also began and preparations for the Arctic project continued.
