From Friday to Saturday, June 10 – 11, 2022, Střelecký ostrov, Kampa, Dětský ostrov and Janáček’s embankment in Prague will become the main center of cultural events in the Czech Republic. This will happen as part of the 19th year of the multi-genre festival United Islands of Europe with the subtitle Freedom Edition, which will offer a diverse mix of music performers and the concept of Islands of Inspiration. New discoveries come to the Czech capital not only from neighboring countries such as Poland or Germany, but also from Ukraine and Belarus. The Prague Islands with the main stage called Freedom Stage on Střelecký Island will come to life again with music and new names across genres, but also with a non-musical program known differently than the Islands of Inspiration.

This year, the organizers want to introduce visitors to the Eastern European music scene, and thus express support for those artists who do not currently have the opportunity to perform at home for various reasons . The United Islands is intended to be an inspiration for other festivals to invite representatives of the Eastern European cultural scene, which is still little discovered in our country. In this way, at least symbolically, I would all celebrate European values ​​and freedom together .

In addition, visitors can look forward to German performers such as Albi X, Donia Touglo, Maria Basel or Zouj, Irish artistsJyellowL, Teby Rex or the band Thumper and from the nearest neighbors the Prague Islands will welcome musicians from Slovakia , specifically the bands 52 Hertz Whale, Nov, Small Town Life and there will also be Bulp, Katarzia, Luisa, Timea, Malvina and Nina Kohout. Enchanted hunters, Imortal Onion, Ofelia and Enchanted Hunters will arrive from Poland .
