The castle\u00a0 is open daily April to October from 5am to midnight, and November to March from 6am to 11pm; sights within the castle (unless otherwise stated) are open daily April to October from 9am to 6pm, and November to March from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n

You can wander freely through most of the streets, courtyards and gardens of the castle and watch the changing of the guard without a ticket. For the sights within the castle (excluding the cathedral) there are two main types of multi-entry ticket available: the velk\u00fd okruh or long tour (350K\u010d), which gives you entry to most sights, including the Old Royal Palace<\/strong>, the Basilica and Convent of sv Ji\u0159\u00ed,<\/strong> the Prague Castle Picture Gallery<\/strong> and the Zlat\u00e1 uli\u010dka<\/strong>; and the mal\u00fd okruh<\/strong> or short tour around 300K\u010d, which only covers the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of sv Ji\u0159\u00ed and the Zlat\u00e1 uli\u010dka. Tickets are valid for two days? and available from several places, including the main information centre in the third courtyard, opposite the cathedral, where you can also rent an English-language audioguide (250K\u010d for 2hr?).<\/p>\n

How to reach Prague Castle from Old Town Square<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To reach Prague Castle from Old Town Square, you can follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From Old Town Square, head west on Celetn\u00e1 Street until you reach the Charles Bridge (Karl\u016fv most).<\/li>\n
  2. Cross the Charles Bridge, and continue straight up the hill on K\u0159\u00ed\u017eovnick\u00e9 n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed.<\/li>\n
  3. Turn left onto Hrad\u010dansk\u00e9 n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed and follow the road until you reach the gates of Prague Castle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Alternatively, you can also take the tram from Old Town Square to the Prague Castle stop. Tram numbers 22 and 23 both pass through the Old Town Square and stop at the Prague Castle gates. The journey by tram should take about 15-20 minutes.<\/p>\n

    It’s also worth noting that the walk from Old Town Square to Prague Castle is a popular tourist route and takes you through some of the city’s most beautiful and historic areas. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes and offers many opportunities to stop and explore along the way.<\/p>\n

    The Muzeum hra\u010dek<\/strong>, Lobkovick\u00fd pal\u00e1c<\/strong> and any temporary exhibitions such as those held in C\u00edsa\u0159sk\u00e1 kon\u00edrna and J\u00edzd\u00e1rna, all have different opening hours and separate admission charges<\/strong> (see the relevant entries for details).<\/p>\n

    How to visit Prague Castle President Room<\/h2>\n

    The state rooms used by the president are open to the public two days a year: currently the Saturday after May 8 and the Saturday after October 28.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Which Cafe we should sit at the castle ?<\/h2>\n

    Within the castle precincts there are several caf\u00e9s and restaurants. If you simply want a quick cup of coffee, the best one to head for is the Caf\u00e9 Poet, which has outside tables and is hidden away in the peaceful and little-visited Zahrada na ba\u0161t\u011b at the western end of the castle. Also just ourside of the castle Starbucks has a great locaiton to see the Prague frm the top.<\/p>\n
