Synagoga wyros\u0142a obok kilku istniej\u0105cych dom\u00f3w \u017cydowskich. Uko\u0144czono j\u0105 w stylu klasycystycznym w latach 1846-1847. Pe\u0142ni\u0142 swoj\u0105 funkcj\u0119 do lat 30. W czasie II wojny \u015bwiatowej synagoga s\u0142u\u017cy\u0142a jako magazyn, a przez nast\u0119pne siedemdziesi\u0105t lat mie\u015bci\u0142 si\u0119 w niej punkt skupu surowc\u00f3w wt\u00f3rnych. W 2016 r. miasto Jirkov kupi\u0142o synagog\u0119 z zamiarem jej remontu i wykorzystania do cel\u00f3w kulturalnych i spo\u0142ecznych.
