August looks a lot like July for the first three weeks: hot, full and outdoors. What changes is the end of the month, when Czech schools go back, the light softens and the crowds start to thin. The last week of August is one of the quiet secrets of the Prague year — summer weather with the pressure coming off.

Photography in August
Similar to July but with a softer, lower sun by the end of the month. Golden hour moves back to around 19:30 in late August, which is a more civilised time for family sessions than July’s 21:00.
