Krampus is the horned, fur-clad devil of Alpine folklore who comes out in early winter to frighten anyone who has misbehaved. Every November Výstaviště in Holešovice hosts the largest krampus parade in Prague. On Saturday 21 November 2026 the show moves back to the forecourt of the newly restored Industrial Palace (Průmyslový palác). More than 200 krampuses from Czech and Austrian troupes will march through fire, smoke and drumming.
Ne Beklemeli
The day is split into two shows with separate tickets.
| Family Show doors 15:00, parade 16:00–17:30 |
A shorter, milder parade with fewer devils, meant for families. Children are encouraged to come in devil masks. |
| Night Show doors 19:00, parade 20:00–21:30 |
The full version after dark: fire, bells, rattling chains, loud music, drummers and dancers. A new VIP section sits by the “gate of hell”, where the krampuses enter and leave. |
Troupes on the 2026 bill include Krampus Budweis, Čerti Kraslice, Pekelníci z Vlašimi and Austria’s Krampusverein Diabolos Sandl. A food zone serves hot drinks and sausages.
Krampus night sits just before the Czech Mikuláš tradition, when St Nicholas, an angel and a devil visit children on 5 December. Our guide to how Czechs celebrate Saint Nicholas Day explains the difference.

Practical Notes
- Venue: Výstaviště Praha, Holešovice (Prague 7), in the open-air space in front of the Industrial Palace.
- Children: The organisers warn of pyrotechnics, open fire and noise. The night show is loud and close-up, so the family show is the safer choice for small children.
- Pets: Leave dogs at home; the organisers ask for no animals.
- Dress warmly: It is an outdoor evening event in late November. For more on the month, see Prague in November.
