June gives you the most daylight of any month — light until well past nine — and warmth that has not yet tipped into the heat of July. The river comes into its own: Náplavka’s farmers’ markets, boats on the Vltava, and beer gardens that stay busy until midnight. Crowds are high but the city is big enough in June to absorb them.

Golden hour runs from around 20:00 to 21:30, giving the longest comfortable evening shooting window of the year. Midday is harsh and best avoided for portraits.
