Podhora mill and Krůs vegetable garden

The Podhora mill with two ponds is built in solitude in a valley, a closed field and coniferous forests, 7 km east of Klatov. Seasonal vegetables are sold at the mill.

The mill was founded already in the 17th century , in the 18th century it is remembered as a mill with one water wheel on unstable water. In 1922 it was bought by the Krůs family and remains in their care to this day. The mill was functional until 1961 . During its existence, the mill was repeatedly rebuilt and modified. It was last renovated in 2007, when a small recreation facility was built here .

Currently, vegetables are grown in the surrounding fields , part of the mill space is used for recreation , including accommodation, and a small museum is set up in the engine room of the hydroelectric power plant. from the yard here , such as parsley, garlic, potatoes, sauerkraut, leeks, salads, onions, beets, radishes, green beans, etc. The sale takes place all year round, every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
