Explore the Fairytale Forest

Step into the fairytale forest and relive the story of Hansel and Gretel. Wander through the haunted forest inside the building, where the sights and sounds will transport you to a world of fantasy. The former hunting lodge now houses the Government Office of the Gingerbread Governorship, featuring the year-round Gingerbread Museum and the “Gingerbread House” fairy tale attractions, perfect for families.

Year-Round Honey Experiences

From March to December, indulge in “Honey Experiences from the Gingerbread House” that engage all your senses – sight, touch, hearing, smell, taste, and even your sense of humor. Each visit is tailored to the group, ensuring a fun and memorable experience.

Gingerbread Workshop and Museum

After your journey through the haunted forest, knock on the door of Ježibaba’s Gingerbread Workshop to receive a delicious honey gingerbread. Discover the traditional craft of making old Bohemian decorative gingerbread baked in carved molds, and learn fascinating facts about this nearly forgotten art.

Accommodation and Travel

Stay overnight at the tourist hostel located within the Fairy Tale Area. During the summer, enhance your trip from Pardubice by taking a steamboat ride on the Elbe River or enjoying a scenic walk up to the castle from the river.

Opening Hours

• The Gingerbread House does not have fixed opening hours. It usually opens half an hour before the start of the club experience program. You can request and reserve an entry visa at kralovstvi.cz.
• Events take place from March to December.
