Guided Tours and Hands-on Experience

Factory Excursion Take a guided tour of the glass factory and witness the intricate glassmaking process up close. From the smelting of hot liquid glass to the delicate molding and precise grinding, observe skilled glass masters at work. Tours run at scheduled times (10:00, 11:00, 12:00), with advance booking required for groups of 10 or more. School groups can arrange specialized tours upon request.

Glassmaking Workshop Participate in the “Make it Yourself” program, where visitors of all ages can try their hand at glassmaking. Under the guidance of experienced glassblowers, create your own unique glass object such as a pint glass or vase. Afterward, relax and reflect on your experience at the Ajeto Glass Tavern, enjoying a delightful snack amidst stylish surroundings.

Inside the Glass Workshop

Production Process Explore the various sections of the glass workshop:

• Stem Cell: Where glass mixtures are prepared.
• Molding: Beech wood molds are crafted for glass blowing.
• Smelter: The heart of the factory, reaching temperatures up to 1,500 degrees Celsius.
• Grinding Mill: Where cooled glass receives its final shape and polish.

History and Significance

Founding and Innovations Established on October 28, 1994, Ajeto was co-founded by renowned Czech architect Bořek Šípek. The factory is famous for producing the Thalia theater awards and since 2011, has supplied trophies for the prestigious Tour de France cycling race. Ajeto merged with LASVIT in 2017, expanding its capabilities to include custom glass products and collaborations with artists and designers globally.
