Concerts in Prague: What’s On This Season

Prague sells more concert tickets per head than almost anywhere in Europe, and the season runs hardest between October and March, when the weather pushes everything indoors. This page lists what is actually booked for the 2026–27 season — arena shows, the Rudolfinum, baroque nights and the Christmas concerts — with venues, dates and what each one is.

Dates below are confirmed with the venues and the Czech tourism board. Past dates drop off when the season moves on.

Arena Shows

Almost everything big happens at the O2 Arena or the smaller O2 universum next door, both in Vysočany — metro line B to Českomoravská, twelve minutes from the centre. Doors usually open two hours before, support acts start around 19:30, and the metro runs late enough to get you home.

26–27 September	Yzomandias O2 Arena The biggest name in Czech rap. The first night sold out in sixteen hours and a second was added.
2 October	Boris Brejcha O2 Arena High-tech minimal techno, masks and a full production light show.
7 October	Deep Purple O2 Arena The British hard rock originals, back in Prague again.
10 October	Marika Gombitová — Marika 70 O2 Arena A Slovak institution marking fifty years on stage.
17 October	Český mejdan s Impulsem O2 Arena A long night of Czech and Slovak pop stars — the tenth edition, and pure local culture.
25 October	The World of Hans Zimmer — A New Dimension O2 Arena Film scores played live by a full orchestra and band.
27 October	Halloween Madness O2 Arena The arena turned into a rave for one night. New format for Prague.
10–11 November	Kabát O2 Arena The most successful Czech rock band there has ever been, two nights.
11 November	Ennio Morricone — Celebration Concert O2 universum The scores with large-screen projection behind the orchestra.
13 November	Sima O2 Arena Slovak rapper, after a sold-out stadium show in Trnava.
14 November	Lord of the Dance O2 Arena Michael Flatley’s thirty-year anniversary tour, fifteenth visit to the country.
16 November	Korn O2 Arena With Architects and Pixel Grip supporting.
17 November	The Kid Laroi O2 universum A Perfect World Tour — the Australian’s first Czech show.
20 November	Martina Pártlová O2 Arena Three sold-out nights at Forum Karlín first; now the big room.
21 November	Radio Kiss Millennium Explosion O2 Arena A millennium-era party night with the original acts.
22 November	Pitbull O2 Arena Give Me Everything, Timber and the rest of it.
23 November	The Prodigy O2 Arena European Tour 2026, and their first time in the O2 Arena.
26 November	Sarah Brightman — A Winter Symphony O2 Arena The Christmas show, in the biggest hall in the country.
28 November	Separ O2 Arena Slovakia’s most-streamed artist, marking his fortieth birthday on stage.
3 December	Koller: Kryl O2 universum David Koller’s tribute to Karel Kryl, the protest songwriter of the communist years.
12 December	No Name — 30 Years O2 Arena Thirty years of the Slovak band, birthday show.
13 December	Bryan Adams O2 Arena Back in Prague on the current tour.
15 December	Christmas in the O2 Arena O2 Arena Czech pop stars with a symphony orchestra. Date still provisional.
30 January 2027	Tublatanka, Alphaville and Argema O2 Arena Three bands, forty-five years each, one evening.
27 February 2027	Tatabojs Forum Karlín Four decades of the most inventive band on the Czech scene.
30 April 2027	The Lord of the Rings in Concert O2 universum The Fellowship of the Ring on screen with a 230-piece orchestra and choir playing Howard Shore live.

Classical: The Rudolfinum and the Municipal House

The two great halls run parallel seasons. A useful local trick: the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra opens its dress rehearsals to the public at 10:00 on concert days, for a fraction of the evening price.

16 October	Collegium 1704 — Zelenka: Missa Votiva Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall Season opener for the city’s baroque orchestra. Zelenka wrote it, probably, in thanks for surviving an illness.
18 October	Concertino Praga — 60 Years Rudolfinum Sixty years of the competition that found most of the Czech soloists you have heard of. 19:30, rehearsal 10:00.
2 November	Collegium 1704 — Handel: Susanna Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall Václav Luks conducting the oratorio about a false accusation.
3–9 November	Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival Rudolfinum Five recitals in a week. Opening night puts Evgeny Kissin and Sir András Schiff at two pianos on the same stage — then Lukas Sternath (5th), Marek Kozák (6th), Anna Vinnitskaya (7th) and Grigory Sokolov (9th), who plays here perhaps once every four years.
30 November	Tomáš Netopil: Janáček’s Taras Bulba Rudolfinum With the cimbalom used as a concert instrument rather than a folk one. 19:30.
14–15 December	Collegium 1704 — Bach: Mass in B minor Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall Two nights of the piece Collegium 1704 does better than anyone in the country.
21 December	Jakub Hrůša and Czech Music Rudolfinum From Vítězslava Kaprálová to a new commission, conducted by the Czech conductor of the moment.
2 January 2027	New Year’s Concert Rudolfinum Baroque and classical, bright and danceable. The civilised alternative to New Year’s Eve on the bridges. 19:30, public rehearsal 10:00.
25 January 2027	Dvořák’s Third Symphony Rudolfinum Music written about nature next to music written about now.
15 February 2027	Petr Popelka and Gautier Capuçon Municipal House Dvořák’s cello concerto with the French soloist.
16 February 2027	Collegium 1704 — Zelenka: Missa Dei Filii Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall The summit of Czech baroque, if you ask anyone here.
22 February 2027	Mahler’s First Symphony Municipal House Paired with early Martinů. 19:30, rehearsal 10:00.
14–15 March 2027	Collegium 1704 — Bach: St Matthew Passion Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall Two performances before Easter.
22 March 2027	Beethoven’s Ninth Rudolfinum Tomáš Hanus conducting.
13 April 2027	Collegium 1704 — Beethoven: Pastoral Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall With the overture to Così fan tutte.

Christmas Concerts

One piece dominates the Czech Christmas: Jakub Jan Ryba’s Česká mše vánoční, written in 1796 and known to everybody here simply as Rybovka. You will hear it in concert halls, in churches and, once a year, in a railway station. It is sung in Czech and nobody minds if you do not follow the words.

22–23 December	Kouzelná Rybovka Municipal House, Smetana Hall Matěj Forman’s staging with puppets, orchestra and choir. 22nd at 16:00 and 19:30, 23rd at 10:00. The one to take children to.
23 December	Rybovka na Hlaváku Main Railway Station concourse The twenty-sixth year. Anyone who wants to sing or play it turns up and joins in, under the station roof, free.
25 December	Ryba: Hej, mistře… Church of St Wenceslas, Smíchov Bach-Collegium Praha, on Christmas Day itself.
19 November onwards	Bílé Vánoce Lucie Bílé Divadlo Lucie Bílé The Christmas run by the country’s most popular singer.
13 December	Hvězdy Vánoc Žofín Palace A gala of arias, carols and famous melodies in a neo-renaissance ballroom on the river island.

Jazz, World and Smaller Rooms

The interesting small-venue nights are spread across Futurum in Smíchov, Nová Spirála at Výstaviště and the New Town Hall, and tickets rarely pass 700 CZK.

16 October	Malina Brothers Kulturní centrum 12 The Malina brothers are, straightforwardly, the best bluegrass players in the country.
21 October	Aigel Futurum Music Bar Trip-hop and electronics from the Tatar-Russian duo, on their tenth anniversary tour.
2–22 November	Prague Sounds Various venues The old Strings of Autumn, now three weeks of jazz, classical and electronic across the city. See the festival guide.
2 December	Cory Henry Trio Nová Spirála Soul, gospel and funk from the Snarky Puppy keyboardist.
10 February 2027	Lucía Fumero Trio New Town Hall The Barcelona pianist’s Folklore project — jazz threaded with folk song.
16 March 2027	Harold López-Nussa Trio New Town Hall The Cuban pianist returns with a new set about losing one home and finding another.

Buying Tickets

Arena shows — Ticketmaster or Ticketportal, both linked from o2arena.cz. Big international names sell out months ahead; Czech acts often do not.
Classical — buy directly from rudolfinum.cz, obecnidum.cz, collegium1704.com or rozhlas.cz/socr. Resellers add twenty to forty per cent for nothing.
Prices — 1,200–3,500 CZK for arena shows, 200–1,200 CZK for the Rudolfinum, 150–500 CZK for the small rooms. Public dress rehearsals are around 100 CZK.
Ignore the flyers handed out on Charles Bridge. Those are forty-five-minute tourist recitals in cold churches at concert-hall prices, and they are not what is listed above.
Getting back — the metro runs until midnight; night trams take over after that and stop at Lazarská in the centre.
