The City Gallery Prague offering temporary exhibitions of contemporary art – the medieval Golden Ring and Stone Bell houses and the 1920’s Municipal Library and a space at the Old Town Hall.

The gallery is particularly known for its extensive collections covering work of individual artists generaly 18th and 19th centries art. Drawing solely from its own sources, the gallery has organized more than 40 exhibitions which has been presented both in the Czech Republic and around the world.

Education Department in the Gallery

The education department designs, organizes, and realizes many different types of art-educational activities at all of the gallery’s buildings and educational facilities (education center, eco-studio, reading room). Our educational program is designed for all types of schools (preschool, primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, after-school art courses) from throughout the Czech Republic and for other age groups, including senior citizens and visitors with special needs. Our main focus is on interactive tours followed by art workshops, always with a maximum view to the form and content of our exhibitions and collections.

Orangery Eco-studio For Families in Prague

At GHMP’s eco-studio in Troja Château’s orangery, visitors can explore their creativity and make art while escaping from the crowds of tourists in downtown Prague. The studio is designed for children, all types of schools (preschool, primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, after-school art courses), families, adults, senior citizens, visitors with special needs, and other groups or individuals.
