01.06.2023’s Night Meeting…
We had a wonderful evening filled with excellent wine and truly authentic Ukrainian cuisine prepared by the talented chef at Autentista in Prague. However, the highlight of the night was the personal connections and socializing.
The most memorable moment was when I heard someone say, “This evening celebrates Ukraine and Ukrainians, creating an atmosphere where Ukrainians feel welcomed and valued.” This sentiment perfectly embodies the essence of the Ukrainian International Social Club – appreciating the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people, who tirelessly fight for our shared values, security, and future in Europe. Ukrainians are truly inspirational individuals, and every day we witness the sacrifices they make to maintain their Ukrainian and European identity.
The ongoing war initiated by Russia against Ukraine is brutal, unjustified, and unprovoked. However, we are determined to ensure that Ukraine emerges from this conflict even stronger, with a globally-integrated economy and an improved quality of life for all its citizens. We refuse to look back and are eagerly anticipating a bright future. As devastating as the war is, it has revealed the true character of Ukrainians to the world. I am in awe of their spirit, and I am grateful for the successful event we had. I eagerly look forward to the upcoming event in Kyiv next Friday!
