The quietest, cheapest and moodiest month — until the Christmas markets arrive at the very end.

| Daylight | About 8h 45m |
| Crowds | Lowest of the year |
| Prices | Annual low |
November is Prague’s low season and its most atmospheric month. Fog sits on the river, the trees go bare, the light is short and dramatic, and the tourist crowds essentially disappear. Hotel prices bottom out. Then, on the last Saturday, the Christmas tree is lit on Old Town Square and the city changes completely overnight.

Photography in November
Fog and bare branches make November the most dramatic month for landscape and moody portrait work. The light is soft all day, which is forgiving, but sunset comes at 16:15 so plan tightly.
For family and couple sessions in November, a local photographer will know which spots hold the light at that hour — Kemal Onur Ozman shoots families, couples and engagements across Prague and took many of the photographs on this site.
Practical tips for November
- Dark by 16:30 — plan outdoor sights for the morning.
- Cheapest hotel rates of the year until the last week.
- The tree lighting weekend books out; the rest of the month does not.
