A favorite place of residence of Wenceslas IV. is a romantic corner offering a view of the wide surroundings with the dominant neighboring castle Točník. The dominant feature of the castle is a tall round tower (bergfrit), today used as a lookout tower.
Žebrák Castle has been used by nobility and Czech kings since the mid-13th century. After a fire in 1395, Wenceslas IV left it. rebuild. At the same time, he founded a new castle Točník higher up on the rocky ridge . Wenceslas IV. thus he created a unique Czech harmony.
The ruins of Žebrák Castle are accessible in the summer tourist season from April to September. A blue tourist sign leads here from the town of Žebrák.
