The most accessible objects in the Czech Republic include the national cultural monument State Castle and Horšovský Týn Castle. You can see, for example, the castle part with a unique early Gothic chapel, an armory and furnished Renaissance housing, or a unique picture gallery of Czech monarchs.

The municipal museum and the Horšovský Týn state castle offer a joint exhibition called Burkrabství , which mainly presents the stables and historical interiors of the Burkrab’s palace with rich equipment and a period laundry , the chamberlain’s rooms are also unique . The originally Renaissance rooms in the background of the castle in Horšovské Týn were significantly rebuilt during the 19th century. The exhibition is also situated around this time.

In the castle, you can see the castle living from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century with salons, a ballroom, a library. Also of interest is a set of Renaissance representative halls with wall paintings from the 16th century with heraldic motifs, portraits of the Habsburgs, paintings of the Trauttmansdorff estate and paintings of floral still lifes. Occasional exhibitions are also held here. The MITSUKO route presents a permanent exhibition from the estate of Countess Mitsuko Coudenhove-Kalergi, a Japanese-born woman who lived in Bohemia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The castle park

is freely accessible from the city . The administration of the Horšovský Týn castle and chateau also includes the church of All Saints in the nearby village of Horšov and the church of St. Anna on Vršíček near Horšovské Týn. From history:

Horšovský Týn was originally a bishop’s castle founded before the middle of the 13th century. It burned down in 1547 and was rebuilt into a monumental Renaissance residence (Jan jr. Popel of Lobkovicz). In the years 1623–1945, it was owned by the Trauttmansdorff family, and since 1945, the castle has been owned by the state.
